We were tasked with designing a furnishing system for a coworking space called Talent Garden that would be inserted in their coworking space in Milano. Talent Garden is a unique coworking space as they have a very tight community focused on digital innovation made up by newly founded start-ups and big corporations. Talent Garden highly appeals to the start-ups as it offers flexibility with the user’s subscription which can be later customised for future growth and also hosts many events made to help their user widen up their networks which is vital to any start-ups. The main problem that was seen by the company itself was the overcrowding in their space due to the lack of space for which many coworking spaces encounter.

My team and I were able to solve this problem by designing a multipurpose furnishing ecosystem that promises to enhance Productivity by bringing everything the user needs within hands reach! Based on the value of Flexibility, it will create Separation without sacrificing connection, revolutionising the way hot desks are perceived. We called this solution MAGNES.

MAGNES was designed to be very flexible in the tight coworking space as the open desk itself came in the double and single sided configurations so that it can be placed either at the center of the room or against the walls. The desk can be extended as long as the customer wants by adding extra legs and boards so that it can fit in any room they desire.

The table comes with a wireless charging canal down the middle where users can charge their wireless electronics as Talent Garden is very pro technology. The canal can always be extended with the addition of the small canal blocks as seen on the left.

We’ve also designed the OJI Fan Divider which gives user more 

privacy and lowering distractions as it can get very hectic at certain times of the day. The fan comes with implemented magnets that gets attached to the thin layer of iron that is found in the desk’s boards.

We've implemented the sandwich method where we placed an iron sheet in between the two pieces of woods to allow the OJI to be placed anywhere on the desk.

Another add-on that we designed was the DAW wireless lamp for Talent Garden late night users. The lamp itself can be recharged at the center of MAGNES where wireless chargers are hidden under the green strip.
